...finally has a name - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Pretty creepy, in keeping with the darker overtones each book has had over its predecessors. Can't wait!

Sounds pretty hollow ;-) I still dig Lord of the Rings.
Cant wait for the last book..esp since she set the stage perfectly in Book 6, which imho was the best book in the series. In book 7, there are rumours of Potter being knocked off by Rowling :( While she's justified in wanting to kill the character she produced, for fear of other authors writing spinoffs of the original, its going to break all our hearts. We all know that Sirius is coming back for sure, since his body was never found! I just wish she doesnt kill Harry and also that she brings back Dumbledore a la Gandalf!
Infact ..doesnt Harry potter kinda sorta feel similar to Lord of the Rings... Gandolf & Dumbledore, Sauron and Vold (both have no physical structure), death eaters & Ringwraiths.
Its plain Malory Towers meets Lord of the rings. Most the characters are similar to Lord of the rings, the Spider, golum probably the only addition is the family background provided by the weaslys.
I think they should have waited for the book to sink in before they started the movies, I dont like the movies as much as I liked the Rings series.
But the last book reminded me of my Chandamama days where the mandiravathi uyir is in a place located beyond 7 hills and 7 seas inside a parrot. Probably Rowling wants to move away from comparisions with the Rings :)

Tired day at officenu JK rowling website poi..luckily stumbled upon the christmas tree..and figured out the name after 2 games of hangman :) Her website is amazing and the way the name is unravelled is great too. Check it out!
my guess is HP will die in the seventh book - though i dont want that to hpn...but i guess its in store. Maybe one of the horcrux is harry himself..just guessing

i'm a Big fan of HP.i don't agree that sirius will be back.JKR already stated in many ways that even magic coudnt bring back the dead ones.
i strongly believe Snape is NOT a betrayer.JKR owes us the doubt.
And it's clear that 2 characters will die in the end of the series. Voldy is sure.another character can be harry so that nobody can continue the series.but still the main theme of the story is GOOD OVER EVIL.so in that sense, the main character should survive.
