Jo - No Sho
So the most anticipated invitee for Surya's sister Brindha's wedding reception didn't make it after all. Jo, who was back in Chennai after a US stint for Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, didn't show up at the event. The Sify article says Sivakumar hasn't accepted her yet and she was 'asked' not to attend. Paavampa ponnu...
But the reception was a star-studded event for sure. The (super)star in the picture above alone would've made it that :-)

Well, it appears that Surya is very attached to his dad and it only makes sense that daddy should be convinced about Surya's love for Jo. But it looks like Su-Jo's relationship has also gone a long way, enough for them to have built a home together on Boat Club Road, Chennai.. Hmmm... There was also word a while back that Director Bala was working on convincing Sivakumar about Jo.. don't know (and don't think) anything came out of that..
I guess, it isn't surprising that Jo didn't show at Brinda's reception.. actually Su & Jo don't show up together anywhere anymore.. The last time they were both at one place was probably at the "Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu" puja event.. but Su & Jo never even talked to each other there!.. Enna kashta kaalam da idhu! :-(

I was quite surprised to see jo not showing up for the reception.Eventhough it was a star studded affair,I would believe that everyone at the function would have been keenly looking forward to Jo's arrival.

Maybe they want to keep everything low profile until the big announcement. Look what happened to Sonia Agarwal and Selvaraghavan (you do know what happened between them, right?.. or so they say!) after attending two family weddings together! :-(
Either way, I'm at a total loss as to why Tamilians have a problem with mixing personal and professional (that too, at weddings!).. After all, she is just going to show up, congratulate Brinda and Sivakumar, pose for a few photos.. chat with everybody but Mr. Ghajini and take off.. Idhukku edhukku ivaLavu kooththu.. By not attending the reception, the rumour mills will only grind overtime! :-)
It is gossip show like the Anu Akka Aunty column in Anandha Vikatan. Bombay Gnanam is one of the maamis in the show.
