Rajni - Ayesha Takia?!
I've seen the news in just one place so far but Ayesha Takia is being touted as Rajni's heroine in Sivaji. Though she has acted in a couple of movies(the article terms her "equally attractive compared to Aish" and "top of the top heroines in Bollywood"), this is the first time I've heard of her. And I'm not too impressed with the photos I've seen on the web (the above is one of the better ones I found).
Lets hope this is one of those rumors that stays a rumor :-)

Balaji, I mentioned about it in my comment to your previous post (paramasivam). I have seen Dil Maange More and tell you what.. she isnt that impressive in terms of looks but she has a nice smile. And she is improving in looks over the past few months.. (hehehehe..) She has a good attitude and emotes reasonably well. I have found her pretty charming.. To make you Rajini fans assess her, I think I will give her a few good fotos that I have found:

She is the 'hot and happening' girl in Bollywood.. so, as I mentioned earlier, I would certainly welcome her.
Oh my god...ayesha will probably be younger than Rajini's 2nd daughter. This is ridiculous.
Rajini should do roles that befits his age, like Amitabh Bachan.

Ayesha Thakia made her debut with that movie on the wonder car by Abbas Mustan. I don't remember the name. After that she was noticed in "Socha Na Tha" - a movie that launched the juniormost Deol.
I have seen SNT and Ayesha was the best in that movie. She is good. And in terms of acting, probably better than Ash. Ayesha is very natural. Ash is plastic. (My opinion)

Ayesha's nearest connection to South Indian filmdom is in the form of a telugu movie "Super" starring Nagarjuna. It was the telugu version of "Dhoom".
Just wait till, Rajini has a grand-daughter and she will be Rajini's pair :p
He should consider pairing with the comeback-mode-Sridevi :-)
Rajni will look outdated next to this chick. No amount of makeup or designer clothing can "fix" anything about him. He should pair with someone that doesn't look like she was brought up on protein bars. CM probably worked because of Nayan and the familiarity of South Indian audiences with Jo. Having said that, this Ayesha kid looks good to me. Balaji, what the heck are you talking about? :)
I would want to see him with Nadhiya... I feel she is still has that magical screen presence... Who can forget them together in "Rajaathi Raja"?
gp, true. she does look cute in those fotos. guess i'll actually have to c DMM to judge how she looks onscreen. will do that if this news is true. doesnt look that way since none of the other websites(sify) today seem to be talking about it.

sriram, i think i've mentioned it before. amitabh tried hard at playing the regular hero in quite a few movies after he passed that age. turned to roles 'suiting his age' only after those movies(jadugar, toofan, etc.) flopped. since with CM, people seem to be OK with rajni playing the hero, he still has time before he needs to switch :-)

bhuvan, agree with u on the chemistry part. its tough finding a heroine who is a good jodi but still hasn't been tagged an 'old' heroine. and aish just had an item number in B&B.

anu, wholeheartedly agree. but she's been tagged with the 'old' tag too since she's acted as mom to a current hero. so don't think rajni will pair up with her.
my first choice would still be jo. she's still on top and mature enuf to look good beside rajni.
btw, i thot trisha said she'd never act with senior heroes. but read somewhere that she would consider it a dream come true to be the heroine of 'sivaji' :-)

Now I am really worried about 'Sivaji'.. she is not at all impressive.
I wont watch this movie if Trisha is in it.. Grrr she sucks.
