Paramasivan Launch

Inspite of a series of flops and no releases since Ji, Ajith seems to be going strong and is on a signing spree these days. His next film Paramasivan has been launched even before Tirupathi shooting has commenced.

Paramasivan is being produced by Bala(whose company has apparently been renamed to Samrat Film Corporation from B Studios) and directed by P.Vasu. Vidyasagar is the music director. A film called Idi was announced recently with Ajith and Laila and was supposed to be directed by Vasu too. So I'm not sure if that's the one that has undergone a name change to Paramasivan. But no heroine, including Laila, was present at the poojai.

After Chandramukhi, P.Vasu is probably Rajni's best friend. So Rajni made an unannounced, surprise visit to the movie poojai. He enquired about Ajith's surprising weight loss. And referring to his own Arunachalam, he told Ajith that movies named after Lord Siva had always been successful and so Paramasivan would be a hit too(guess he forgot about Siva!).

With Godfather, Tirupathi and now Paramasivan, it looks like Ajith has the next 3 festivals covered! Lets hope he makes another of his comebacks with these movies.

Tip to Ajith. It's an indoors function. Lose the coolers, you look like a clown.

Lol'ed at your timely reference to 'Siva' (but the film 'Shiva' was a hit in Telugu - the Varma film). And Rajni was seen wearing 'Paramasivam' costume in Vasu's Uzhaippali, so hopefully this movie becomes a hit.. :-)

The big news seems to have arrived: Ayesha Takia (Dil Maange More girl) seems to be the new heroine in Sivaji.. That is interesting.. Be ready to welcome the next Simran.. !! Good he has chosen a young and charming actress like her.. Looks to me a good choice, the age difference not withstanding.

Hope Ayesha is not the HEROINE of Sivaji. Bad choice, age diff will show out so badly. Good thing about CM is that it really didn't have anyone love line to speak of.

As far as Ajith, he looks good, but probably wanted to hide his tired looking eyes. Must be all that sudden weight loss.

'Idi' has become 'Paramasivam'. As always, I am not confident of P.Vasu to a great extent. 'CM' became a hit due to Rajini Charisma.

I am not sure if he can recreate it for Ajith.

Ayesha Takia???? She looks way too young to be a Rajini heroine. She debuted in the Hindi movie 'Socha Na Tha' which they played on TV recently. She wasn't bad for a first movie. And I think she played Nagarjuna's pair in the recent Dhoom inspired Telugu movie 'Super'.

Paavampa Rajini.. P.Vasu must have nachchu-arichufied him a whole lot to show up at the function and he probably decided at the last minute to show up.

If I know Rajini correctly, he usually prepares some kind of decent speech before he shows up... maybe the "Paramasivan" shoot wasn't one such occasion. He barged in and gave the title a compliment and Ajith a compliment and left..

Paavam vitturungapaa.. Ippo Ph.D. on Shivan and Shivan related titles paNNi, paavam Yen thalaivarai vaattureenga? :-)..
