i just don t get it
stupid movies like Mumbai express without a story got 2.5 stars whereas a above average movie like TJ getting 2 stars??
Perhaps let put it this way,, you hate simbhu,don t you??

my comment should be for ONOK. guess i read the review and didnt realize that this was not a srikant movie. in any case, Not worth watching i guess.
anon, nope i have no problem with simbhu. and anyway, a movie's rating has no connection to how much i like its hero(if thats the case, every rajni movie would get 4 stars and 'ponniyin selvan' wouldn't have got 2.5 stars!).
TJ got 2 stars because i found the 2nd half really boring because of the non-happening screenplay, the unsuitable song sequences, etc. and though many didn't like ME, I found it entertaining for the most part and hence the 2.5 stars. after all, it is my opinion of the movie and not popular opinion :-)
sundar, yep. defly not watchable. and as i think about the story more when i talk about it to others, i'm coming up with even more loopholes. one eg. what would happen if arya simply walked out of the college and talked to someone else or read a newspaper? he doesn't leave the campus for an entire month??!!
bb, a random thought-- maybe you should revive the Movie of the Month section thro' bbthots...I've been watching several old movies (old being anything prior to the new millenium!) and I think u do too...dont u?
thanks for defending MExpress!! I had a similar opinion of the movie...I liked it but didnt love it...btw, is there a store in the Bay Area where I could buy old Tamil movies? either on DVD or on tape...lemme know...?
BB have u seen Ah...Aah??? waiting for ur review on tat 1!!, its total crap, painful is an understatement!!
OKK was so painfully flawed that after a while, I felt it made no sense to watch the movie with sense. It felt better watching it laid back without brains... That one song was really good, I felt it deep too... I never got bored while watching ME, though it was not great. Don't know about TJ.
Balaji, nice review of both movies. As you had said, we too asked similar questions.. Even my remarks in 'comments' section about TJ gave support to your review.. LOL'ed at ur reference to "Vittalacharya's bootham" on Pradeep's mush..
Your review of movies are unbiased(it really awes me how you could have such an open mind!). It is your star rating that I like the best.
