Kuruvi Taking Off
As I mentioned earlier when Kuruvi's posters were released, buzz on the film seems rather low considering its high-profile cast and crew. With the movie's release now less than a month away, things slowly seem to be moving into high gear with a few photos getting released today and the film's audio also slated for release tomorrow. So lets see if hype about the film starts to take off atleast now. Considering the lacklustre nature of Tamil films so far in 2008, there's no doubt that I'm eagerly looking forward to this one.

Balaji, itz 2008 :)
From the poster, it looks like Vijay and Trisha are on the run again, hope it's not amother "Ghilli"...
Got in accidentally to your blog & it seems like I'm not hurt - rather its an accident that gave me a good read :-)
You seem like a movie freak - thought I was the only one to see movies like vattaram, sandai & so on. Good to see like-minded people as well.
I too review movies in my blog - but cetainly not to the extent like you - but I would like to get your thots w/regards to my reviews - for you seem to have mastered it.
Here is my blog URL - http://www.lakhsmee.blogspot.com

Now there is news doing rounds that Kuruvi has been inspired(lifted) from The Transporter.Hope its one more of the racy commercial movies from Dharani.Vijay cant afford one more missing the mark after the debacle in ATM

Hmm,Trisha's costumes suggest that the film is not targetted at the 'family koottam'.
That dress looks lovely. But, yeah, it does look out of place in that particular street :)
bart, thanx. fixed it :)
skanda, considering how much i enjoyed 'gilli', i do hope its another 'gilli' :)
laksmee, will chk out ur blog.
and i prefer movie buff :)
jeyaraj, now that u mention it, the early storyline(vijay moving stuff betn singapore and chennai) does have shades of 'transporter' :)
ganesh, the poster indicated a lot of violence too. so u may be right :)
anon, when has that ever bothered our filmmakers? :)
Balaji, heard the songs? Haven't read any reviews for the album that say the songs are as good as Gilli, so far.
Filbert:Gilli songs too never were a hit before the movie. They pickedup well after the movie was released.Especialy appadi podu song became a rage after the movie got released.Thats the case with all Dharani movie's.
filbert, heard it once so far. not very impressed. 'mozhu mozhunnu' is catchy but i didn't like 'happy new year', which is what the reviews seem to be praising.
anon, thats probably true. but i remember liking them quite a bit even b4 the movie released :)
i heard the songs too, not too catchy on the first listen...i may probably like it more after the movie release. Vidvasagar and Vijay have hardly given any Bad scores before so just give these songs sometime to pick up
happy new year is the pick of the lot..........loved teh lady voice very much....
Mozha Mozhannu is too catchy (heard more than a dozen times over the weekend) :) HNY is also good.
Kuruvi trailer is out.....

it starts with a Vijay pose which is amazingly surprising to his intro scene in Ghilli.Vijay's dance in Palaanathu song is too gud. However stunts seem over the top.If the trailer is any indication,I think Vivek's comedy will be a let down.Frankly I dont remember any Vijay movie in which Vivek's comedy was worth mentioning.Again punch dialogues in Tharani movie :-(.I dont remember any in Dhil \ Dhool or Ghilli.Mixed bag this trailer is.

Edit:It starts with a Vijay pose which is amazingly similar to his intro scene in Ghilli.
