i have not bothered to watch both the movies at all. After seeing ur review may not even think bout it. Looks like all the 'trash' they try to release it by the year end as a dump to be disposed. I am really starving to watch a good movie and since "Unale unale" and "shivaji", there is no movie that waranted repeated vieving.

i'm placing my hopes on "Velithirai" and "bheema" for some good entertainment. These days i prefer hindi films, as there was a bout of really cool movies, like "OSO, "jab we met", "dus kahaniyan" and "welcome". It is way better than some of the tamil films these days. It is so sad as once we were better than Bollywood but that seems to be short lived. They have overtaken as once again. It's time our directors, actor grow up and give us some good movies. Also not to forget the audience to accept good films and reject bad ones.

I don't think tamil movies are all that hopeless... we find rare gems here and there among the new faced movies too...
I've been watching Hindi movies too since netflix offers some but I gotta tell ya, I cannot sit through without cringing with all that love overdose and overacting, over exposing in bollywood movies.

One of my close friend watched some bollywood movies/songs and then asked me how come they were too westernized and she preferred tamil movies and songs way better because we atleast 50% stick to tamil culture =P sort of.. lol

Both industries have a problem with aping the West, though at least Bollywood will sometimes release something interesting like No Smoking. That's more than we can say for Kollywood, which is still churning out the same hero-based action masala films or family dramas that would fit better on TV than on the big screen. Even the "rustic" Tamil films are glamourized and melodramatic.
