Yaar Ivano...

Some time ago, I posted a couple of pictures of a completely transformed Padmapriya. The rather plain, homely actress underwent a very surprising transformation and looked ravishing in those photos. Looks like some of our actors are taking the hint too.

The actor featured in the above photos probably had a place on every movie watcher's list of actors they disliked. He certainly had a place on mine. So I was really surprised to see these photos. I didn't know that losing weight and changing the hairstyle can alter someone's appearance so much. I'm not saying that he's gonna become a heartthrob overnight or pose a threat to Hrithik Roshan. But considering his earlier look, this is quite a startling improvement.

Readers who haven't seen the original photos... Yaaru theriudhaa?

Balaji,

More than his looks, hope he has learnt to act too...

he should seriously work on his tone of voice. and perhaps try and grow a few inches whilst he is at it.

It is Ravikrishna but i am not too hopeful because these days people can be made to look very good in the stills and could be still intolerable when you see the whole package in a movie!! Ofcourse, ravikrishna has his voice and his acting that aid him in staying in the "not liked" list. let us see if it is a complete change to disprove many preconceived notions.

BB,

As Shree puts it, it is his dialogue delivery more than his looks that irritates one to the core. You should see the guy in Vijay TV (Kalakappovathu Champions part 3) immitate him. ..LOL

LOL! Good old Ravi Krishna!

Btw, have you seen Bharath's trendy look in Nepalli ! My female friends were like wow! lol....

And speaking of Hrithik Roshan lookalikes, have you seen Sivi, and what do you think of Yogi?

Speaking of Hrithik Roshan..please do check this awesome movie called Johny Gaddar (which released last week) The hero bears an uncanny resemblance to Hrithik and puts in an amazing performance despite the film being his debut. The story and characters have been well etched and the movie is getting some very good reviews.

I happened to venture onto these stills on indiaglitz yestrday when i went looking for prabu deva stills. I was surprised they had a folder for Ravi Krishna, and I was thinking "intha moonjikellam ithu too much" and dismissed the pictures shown. When he talks, he sounds really stupid, and the way his lips move.. urgh. Don't think any amount of trying to look good is going to mask his irritating voice and acting ability.

Lol. If this is indeed Ravi Krishna, same dude from Ponniyin Selvan he's got to do two more things and he'll be in business.

a) don't act like your so hot.
I totally wanted to gag when the non-scarred dude in that movie talked about how hot he was. Back then! (Lesson to be learnt from there, please don't be over zealous!)

b) get someone to dubbing and minimize the dancing and the guy could have a chance.

Kudos to you Balaji for being an equal opportunist! Lol.

Like in most cases, the package may have changed but what matters is the content. Tamil actors don't usually fall in the traditional tall, dark & handsome category but have to rely on their acting chops to score good & big. Except for a handful(a very small handful)who do have bankable looks, most are in the business due to fact that are "in the circle"... good looks or not.

Btyw, the stills are undoubtedly the result of some extreme make-over.

Whoa he looks GOOD! How did he lose his cheeks like that? I need to get some pointers from this guy...

I saw it yesterday, all it took was to recognize the same wooden expression in all those pics. Enna thaan style-a maathinaalum, look-a matha mudiyala :-) Reminds me of a very famous saying in tamil w.r.t kunjalam on a tail.

Good for him even if he is not successful, he has become healthy atleast in the photos :-) :-) :-)

Removing the mush always makes a bigger change than you would imagine. Kamal in Nayagan/pesum padam, Surya's look in ayudha ezhuthu which fetched him more fans and so on. Simple but effective :-) But having just watched 7GRC, I am still having ulcer pangs from having to endure RaviKrishna for 2.5 hrs
