Worthy reviews.........Have you seen Aarya yet?
Very nice! But...notice 2 ro 3 errors in spelling and grammer and a reference to Rekha instead of Sukanya. Perhaps a month off wasn't enough, BB :) Good seeing you back though...
anon..its grammar not grammer :)
BB..there is also a line which says "not uninhibited" ..shd have been "not inhibited" i guess. Also, Padma Magan is not a debutant director...he made a godawful movie called Pallavan...which you have reviewed
BB, can't sneak away like that, I meant your birthday. By the way, did you watch the trailer for Kandhasamy, looks a familiar story but Vikram's getups look good? Especially the female one, don't know how they got his eyes to look so feminine!
bb, such a pleasure to read your reviews after a long, long time...
liked ur ammuvagiya naan review...2 1/2 was pretty fair...yeah, i absolutely loved the "first night" scene...esp. the way "enge aallu" says, "thanimaiyum adhula kedaikara amaidhiyum nee muzhusa anubavikanum"
also the scene where the rogue says, "thangachi-nu sonna asingama irukum. nalla iru maa." the direction was very assured...
Balaji, welcome back! Missed reading your posts regularly, although it didn't stop me from checking this place out everyday hahaha.
Anyways, you get to watch SIVI yet? I was reading the review of it on indiaglitz, and it sounds very very very much like Asian horror flick "SHUTTER". Which on it's own was a great movie, I wanna know how bad the tamil version is... hahaha :)
Orange Fronkey, the reviews of Sivi sound quite extraordinary for a minor film.
Yogi, Thengai Srinivasan's peran, seems to be a bankable hero now after the film.
Btw, did anyone else except myslef, think the music was absolutely mindblowing?
Count me in, Prin. The music has been nothing short of extraordinary. Oh nenje is my favorite of the album. One of the best albums of the year...
The music is great in deed.. My faves are nerupum & oh nenje, both occupying the first & 2nd slot of my cd =P. The only thing is... how well are the songs picturized in the movie? *scratches chin*
prin, thanx :) and yeah i did see 'aarya'. review should be online next week.
anon, not sure how rekha creeped in there instead of sukanya. sorry about that. and please do point out the grammar/spelling errors. will make sure i don't repeat them :)
anon, thanx for pointing that out. i checked my review of 'pallavan' and saw that i left the director's name empty. guess thats why his name didn't stick in memory :)
arun, yeah saw it. reminded me of 'anniyan' a lot. and the shot of him between those walls looked straight out of jet li's 'black mask' :)
ram, yep both those scenes/lines caught my fancy too :)
merino, i think it released only on fri. so might be a couple of weeks b4 i watch it. i haven't seen 'shutter'. maybe i'll watch it after i see 'sivi' :)
prin/amar/merino, now i'm desperate to hear the songs. any links? :)

Balaji,
Sivi songs are must listen. Though the movie is releasing this friday in India, Sify and Indiaglitz had come up with their reviews last week itself. Looks like the movie is watchable.
yes sivi is a remake of thai horror film 'shutter'. the makers said it themselves in many of the film updates
