Balaji, you're wrong. In your review of 'Muni',you've mentioned "But Lawrence has always been a few steps behind Prabhu Deva since he never became as popular as the former in dancing, didn't last as long as him as a hero and his films in Telugu weren't as successful as Prabhu Deva's." His first film as a director ("Mass") was a bigger hit and Prabhu Deva's 2nd directorial venture 'Pournami' was a disaster, whereas Lawrence's 'Style' was a hit. He's infact a choreographer in 'heavy' demand in Telugu after the dances in 'Indra'(2002) turned out to be a big hit. It's just that he's not successful in Tamil, unlike Prabhu Deva. In Telugu,he's done a good job in both fields(Choreography, direction.),but in Tamil it;he did everything wrong!
ganesh, I believe Balaji mentioned him behind Prabhu Deva, in tamil movies. Guess u need to think twice, and read twice, before going in for any correction.
if you were ever to do a post on "Top 5 heros who deserve less chances please" I think SJ Surya would top the list. Hoping that his recent 2 disasters mean not seeing his face for a while
Great idea, Vijay! However, apparently Thirumagan is doing decently in the cinemas due to Meera Jasmine's fine performance. Vyabari, however, makes the mockery of the audience :-)
My list of top 5 heroes who deserve less chance will be...
1) Srikanth ... Given enough chances and proved his stay was unneeded with films like, 'Bose', 'Unna Partha Mudhal Naal' and 'Kizhakku Kadalkarai Salai'
2) Ramesh ... Titles himself 'Illam Suravalli' on stage despite the fact that his over-performing brother, Jeeva, has no sort of ego like this. The infamous speech he delivered in 'Madhu' just about summoned every thing up perfectly.
3) Kunal ... Get lost we don't want you back. Recent films of his like, 'Cleopatra', 'Superda' and 'Nanbanin Kadhali' were lame.
4) Dhanush ... Hasn't deliverd a 'decent' film since KK however lookin forward to Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram.
5) Prasanna ... Acts the same old uncharacterized weak role every film bar KNM and Azaghiya Theeye... (Which personally I regretted watchin').
Anyway guyz, I found an useful link, that contains all the films released this year with various info.
otherwise-familiar movie about a common man taking on a powerful rowdy.
--> aaha, ena oru pudhu kathai! the number of people wanting to take thamizh cinema to great heights will be proud to watch a movie with such a novel story...
