4 New Reviews

Reviews for Vallavan, E, Kedi and Ilavattam are now online @ bbreviews.

PS: I was reading the review of Ilavattam on Indiaglitz and saw this line - "While accepting the award, he informs everyone that he was a life-convict serving a term in prison." But this is actually not true! Navdeep goes to school with police escort and explains it after receiving his medal, but the reason behind that is not that he is a convict. So are the Indiaglitz reviewers now writing reviews without seeing the film?!

I'm shocked to see that "Vallavan" had such a low rating!!..i expected a 2 star rating for that...if vallavan itself has 2 stars, i cant imagine the ratings for the other movies u like "dharmapuri" and "thalaimagan"...

balaji.. i do advise u to stay away from watching "darmapuri"...it is terrible and really torturous to sit through and watch...

Balaji, do you actually catch all these movies in the theatre? as I believe its too early for the DVDs to be out for the new releases.

skanda, no movie that bored me as much as 'vallavan' can get 2 stars. the movie is probably 1.5 * with another 1/2 * lopped off cos of simbhu. i think i can draw a parallel with 'a aa'. boring movie made worse by an irritating hero :)

vijay, nope... 'Kedi' and 'ilavattam' download dhaan :)

Balaji, all the ratings fit fine as a T as ever.
Reco: Do watch "Classmates" in malayalam when you find time. A simple murder mystery very well executed.

i believe that vallavan wasnt all that bad. when compared to other older or rather experienced directors who have been doing a terrible job(like perarasu) ,simbhu is much much better.i admit am not a big fan of simbhu but something makes me think,if this kid can do so much at 21 ,imagine what he can do at 40.. and i advice u to watch the movie in a theatre( director shankar himself has appreciated the way simbhu has picturised the songs). he's put in a lot of work .multi tasking is not a simple thing ..

Agreed he has some talents, but he talks way too much he must still remember to keep his mouth shut, that will make his movies run, or atleast give up direction for 4-5 yrs and be an obedient actor like Rajini and Kamal were in their 20s, thats the best way for him to shine.

Balaji,

Saw *Vattaram* lately. Film minus songs and Ramesh Khanna comedy seems okay (It was not as bad I had thought). Interesting thing is screenplay is utterly believable, something rare in Tamil Cinema.

Rgds,
Srivatsan
