Daniel Balaji
According to my mom (usually a reliable source of such information), Daniel Balaji, who played the psycho killer so well in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, is actor Murali's brother. Can someone confirm or invalidate this piece of trivia?

i think murali is a kannadiga and son of a famous producer / director in bangalore called siddalingiah (hindu name). so unless 'daniel' is a punai peru, i doubt it...

I think he has the 'Daniel' cos he acted in this serial called 'Chitti' or one of radhika's serials as a psycho and his name was Daniel in that serial and so the punai per...I've also heard that he is Murali's brother..not sure though

Anywhoo, Balaji ur mom's probably right I mean what are the chances that someone not only has a hindu name like Balaji and Daniel together doesn't make too much sense unless his parents were trying to do some sort of 'puratchi'

Hold on, one second. You are not talking about "Idhayam," "Kaalamellaam Kaadhal Vaazhga" Murali (Kannadiga), are we?..
Or are we talking about the other Murali (Keralite), who acted as Jo's father in "Dumm 3;" as the inspector in "Raam," and as Raayar in "Majaa?"
He couldn't be the second Murali's brother.. that Murali is way too old.. and of course, complexion comparison has never worked to prove anything!..
But, you know, what puzzles me? If he is indeed "Idhayam" Murali's brother, wouldn't this have been great big news even after Kaakha Kaakha (where Daniel Balaji played Devadarshini's husband and fellow cop with Surya)?
Name analysis will not yield any results either. After all, wherever did the name "Raghavendra Lawrence" come from? :-)

Daniel Balaji is Murali's brother(though not sure abt the cousin part of it)...Anu is right...his name was Daniel in Chithi...I remember reading an article in AnandaVikatan around the same time Chithi was airing in which Balaji said that his brother actor Murali was proud of his performance in Chithi
