Somehow, Sundar C looks just as intolerable as the other director-turned-heroes...! or, it maybe his voice...thaanga mudile...!
am surprised u didnt like Jery...I kinda enjoyed it...
Kokki - am yet to check it out...but am happy it's doing reasonably well at the b-o coz i've always had a soft corner for Karan...thought he was a wonderful character actor who got good roles in the late 90s...has anyone in here seen Thulli Thirindha Kaalam? he was brilliant in the flashback sequence...
skanda, don't think too much about the star ratings. i dont :) i think i enjoyed 'pattiyal' and 'pudhuppettai' the same amount. but for different reasons though. i like 'pattiyal' for the style and the romance and i liked 'pudhuppettai' for the technical excellence and the very daring storyline...
'kokki' is probably a little better than 'thalainagaram'. definitely not 3 stars but maybe 2 1/2. but the romance was really bad and made me dislike the movie from that point...
ram, read ur email after i wrote my review and i was surprised too. i think ur affection for crazy and ur memories of his better works made u like this one too. i was really bored initially and it was only the screenplay that rescued it later...
guess the one aspect that both of us agree on, was the fact that the movie's extended sequences towards the end were effective... but other than that, therile, I kinda had fun but u maybe rite, u could maybe chuck it up to the fact that i like crazy+madhu a lot...
