Pretty cool attempt, Balaji. I particularly liked the place where during the lines "தரையில் மோதி மழைத்துளி சாகும்" when he had rain drops falling on a floor. And BTW, Yuvan's coarse & uneven voice seem to be suiting Shrek better :)
Yuvan is such a terrible singer...such a nasal voice that goes off-key every other second...
for all the pleasure that his tunes give to listeners, his voice is an assault on the eardrums...
one lovvvvvvely song that he butchered with his kazhudha-koral was the "Poi Solla Indha Manasukku Theriyavillai" number in "April Maathathil." Adhula, "poi enbadhu"-nu high pitch-la ivan paadarchey edho "mukkarchey" paadina madhiri irundhudhu...
fibert, yeah i noticed that too. a couple of other places i noticed were the birds flying for the paravaigal... line and the storm for the puyal... line.
LOL @ the shrek/yuvan line. personally, i feel this is his worst singing effort so far... i just hate his voice in this.
ram, the way he says 'aNil piLLai' is the standout in this song :)

Agree with you Balaji when you say this song is Yuvan's worst effort so far. This would have been an otherwise completely enjoyable song.
Ram, hearing some of his recent outputs, the April Maadhathil song sounds way better, even with its flaws. Someone close to Yuvan should tell him that he is driving many fans away bcos of his awful singing :(

How's that the offsprings of MD's and Directors get away with making bad ass pronounciation? Even Simbu does that!!! is his father immune to Simbu's "L" and "N" sounds? Good grief
filbert, i mentioned that song mainly coz it has such a soothing, melodious tune and lovely lyrics...adhunaala thaan...yeah, i know he can get a lot more horrible...he was the one who sung that "kaadhale kaadhale" opaari in "kanda naall muthal," right?
Sorry balaji..didn't like the song..! don't know why..The English song was superb.! This is nowhere near that. Pardon me folks MHO.!!
Shrek is one of my favorite movies. Liked the video though :-)

It was just a fun link that shows someone's editing skills which make the Shrek visuals suit the lines of Yuvan's song. avlo dhaan. I pretty much agree that the original Shrek song (everyone of them in the movie) was too good. The first part is one of my all time favourite movies.
Oops.!! thought they dubbed Shrek in Tamil.!! Sorry..Sorry.!!
