BB, checked out your Pachcha Kudhira review...Have to agree with the 1-star rating! The characterization of Pachamuthu, I thought, was an interesting failure. I say "interesting" not coz the character was interesting but the reason why it failed to grip the audiences the way a repulsive character like the Pudhiya Paadhai "protagonist" did. This movie showed why an anti-hero characterization is a tight rope walk...u slip at a cpl of places, u lose the audience...amazing how Parthiban was able to do this successfully in his debut and failed after 17 years of cine experience!
Got to revisit Pudhiya paathai sometime...that Gandhi Thatha photo scene alone is worth another visit!

btw, bb u didnt mention the only enjoyable (IMNSHO) part of the movie...the Liakath Ali Khan scenes...thought that was a nice satirical piece on the power of rhetoric in Tamil Nadu.
