The writer has potential, but the story telling is very Blah. Too many characters and a rambling narrative that I failed to understand what this was leading to. The style also keeps changing and I couln't get a cogent sense of narration or a good description of the characters..atleast the lead players. I had to skip several paragraphs because it didnt really help the story move or make a specific point. Has potential though because he has a good command of the language. The story HAS to be shorter next time because readers seldom give second chances.

Good story.

"The sight of the sun kissing the waters a few minutes before it decides to pave way for the night is something to be cherished. " - Nice line... but, in Marina, the sun kisses the water only in the morning since Chennai is in East coast.

bhuvana, as BB mentioned in his post, I am writing a story (which hopefully BB will provide a link to, when I'm done!) at the moment. and, I sure do appreciate frank responses to my last one so that I can ensure that I dont repeat my mistakes. Thanks for taking the time out to read it.

anon, good observation. Light-a sodhappiteno?! :-) well, at least this piece (also in the story) isnt inaccurate-- "Mid November, Chennai was blessed with some intermittent showers, a huge relief from the scorching sun of the previous six months. The sun, for its part, made an apology by occasionally coming out to bow to the rain, jointly sketching out a seven-colored masterpiece."
