I'm not able to place the Kadhal Siragai song. I remember reading somewhere that Vidyasagar has a Telugu background....this might be one of the reason for his bonding with Arjun.
The funny thing is that Vidyasagar made a name for himself in other South indian languages (i think it is Malayalam) before getting a break in Tamil.

kaps, i've been a fan of vidyasagar for a long time. always felt he was underrated and was waiting for him to get the right break. which he did after 'dhill' i think. his music for movies like 'karna', 'sakthi', etc. really rocked.

Hey, i'm a fan of Vidhyasagar too...!!! More of his old ones than new... his crap he churned out for vijay, and ajith made me mad though... its like all the sudden the youngun's came to know of him cuz of the songs from vijay movies... gime a break grrrrr.

Many people (read guys)I know (mid-twenties) are all crazy about Trisha, I'm not surprised about Vairamuthu but about what I read in the comments section about her :D
I liked what hez said abt Rajini and Kamal.
But I always wonder, if Rajini is an arivaali/spiritualist blah blah..why does he charge so much for his films?Why does he care about image? Isn't he supposed to be "above" all that?
potpourri, i guess the charge helps him filter out producers. i mean if he worked for less, every producer would be knocking on his door, right?
and if he was after money, don't u think he'd do more than a movie every 3 yrs? i'm sure there r people willing to give him what he wants how many ever movies he wants to do :)
and one look at the way he shows up in public is proof enuf that he doesn't care about image. He does his movies certain way cos thats whats expected of him. he has to make his producers and fans happy first and making a certain kind of movie is necessary for that.
and though he does charge a lot, he has never been one to flaunt his wealth. he is simplicity personified when he goes out and doesn't go in for extravagance.
