Anniyan Updates
3 disappointing updates on the Shankar-Vikram magnum opus...
- Our predictions about Anniyan weren't too far off! While producer 'Oscar' Ravichandran earlier 'confirmed' that the movie would be released worldwide on May 20, Vikram now says that the film will be ready for release on May 27 or positively by June 4!
- Check out the slideshow of Vikram's various looks in the film. Am I wrong or does he look good only sans makeup in the 3rd photo? He looks positively gay with the long hair, cheesy in the black robe and old in the Brahmin look.
- The barebones website doesn't inspire much confidence either... An interview with Vikram and a gallery(of photos already seen in other magazines/websites) are the only goodies on there.

yep, the photos of Vikram are pretty uninspiring...+ am not a fan of Sadha...think she's too full of herself...just hope that Shankar, the director, doesnt disappoint...
With Sujatha writing the dialogues, I'll at least look fwd to authentic Iyengar Tamil!
Hey, No.4 looks like the look Van Damme had on in Replicant!!

Yeah, I agree with Ram. Maybe Vikram catwalks through the movie...Heh...
Oh, and I like Sada!! She does seem to have an attitude...the South Indian equivalent of a Kareena, perhaps?!
sadha is "too full of herself"? "does seem to have an attitude"? where do u guys get this impression? she seeems that way in person? gives off that image in interviews and stuff??
gopi, yeah looks surprisingly similar. didn't even know there was a movie called 'replicant'. from this and the 'national treasure' comment i'm getting the impression u're a van damme fan :)
Sometimes Sada's parents' influence on her professional dealings (like negotiating with someone in a movie's production crew) tends to make some people think that she has an attitude. But like you said, Balaji, it is only an impression. I think that Sada is inherently a nice girl.
Replicant was actually a good Van Damme flick. It seemed to have depth and heart (unlike previous Van Damme entries). Yes, I have a lot of respect for Van Damme. I haven't seen his last two movies (do I still qualify as a fan?). I don't have an opinion on his personal life. But guys like him made me embrace working out & staying in shape as a part of everyday living...as necessary as eating breakfast and sleeping, which is something Indian movie Heroes could never do for me. Hope I haven't offended anyone :)
