Official Endhiran Pics

Looks like a few photos from Endhiran have been officially released. They look to be from the same song sequence of which a couple of pics were leaked earlier. Nice strategy from Shankar here. Considering the leaked pictures, these official pics don't really give us any new scenes from the film. But by releasing them, it looks like he is not maintaining as much secrecy as before and doesn't want the hype to build to ridiculous levels. Thalaivar looks real young and stylish but then again, what's new?!

Endhiran was also in the news a couple of days back as Sun Pictures took over the film from Ayngharan. Seems like a really big film for a fledgling company to acquire. So far Sun Pictures has produced only Kaadhalil Vizhundhen and Thenaavattu, both small movies. So Endhiran's gonna be a real big step for them. With Karunanidhi's family and Maaran's family burying the hatchet, atleast the television telecast rights won't be fought over!

if shankar is going to have rajni spout dialogs (a la anniyan) like "indha prabanjathai thiruthum endhiran naan...bramman padaippinil vaazhum manidhaa, unai lanjathin pidiyilirundhu meetka vandhullen!" shankar, we (at least, I) desperately need something different from u...not the usual vigilante routine!

I think it is smart of them to release these photos that are similar to those leaked earlier. Keeps the fan base happy, manage expectations while not revealing anything new.

Agree with Kumar on the photos that were released officially. I also think that Sun pictures will have a bigger say in such matters than what AVM had in Sivaji.

Regarding Thalaivar's looks in the stills - looks like Shankar is hell bent on making sure that none of the get-ups and costumes that Thalaivar sports in Endhiran reminds us of his looks in Sivaji in any way. We, the fans, can only be happier for that :)

Strange I see that still of Thalaivar and Rai! I was watching Russell Peter's making fun of Indian movies only this morning!!!

Thalaivar, of course, can be pretty good with the acting if the script so demands :)

Young and stylish? Really?!

My choice of words would have been 'hideous and unkempt'! And it isn't just Rajini. Aish looks old and hideous too!

I guess it's all in the eyes of the beholder ...

OK, I was going just by the picture on your blog site. After seeing the other pics in Rediff, I'll retract my statement about Rajini. Doesn't look as bad in the next pics.

But sticking to my comments on Aish :)

Appa, after a really long time with Aishwarya Rai. I know Rajini was hell bent on acting with her for quite some time now!.

Prakash, I agree, Ash looks more like a gypsy witch. I simply dont understand the obsession that Rajni, Shankar and even Mani have on Ash. Rajni openly said that he would have loved to have had Ash in Padayappa, in a function. I thought that was a borderline insult to Ramya. Ash is borderline at best when it comes to acting and now in her mid-thirties her looks have started to desert her too. Maybe Rajni had to wait till Ash looked older in order to pair up with her :-)

Rajini looks young? why do Rajini fans keep repeating this? to convince themselves?

He doesn't look younger.. He looks 60.
