hi sir,
glass here. i saw most(3 of 5) of the diwali releases and am ready to debate which ones were good and which ones weren't. I was suprised by Polladhavan, it was pretty good i thought it would suck, but itz my top pick this diwali. I also saw machakkaran(disappointed very much, trailers promised very much) and azhgaiya tamil magan (vijay sukz period!!!!), and i have to say, both were below average.gotta go watch vel and kannamochi yenada, but i think pollathavan will still be the top diwali release on my list.

balaji is just easily pacified by glitz, style and good looking girls;)......the rating scale differs for different actors...

Had low expectations on ATM and hence didn't get disappointed much. Villain character was the biggest weak link as pointed out. The origin, background, irritating after a while dialogue delivery, pathetic characterisation and laughable closing sequence had a lot going against. Infact the second half brought movie notches below.
Lets switch to "Gilli" mode and hope "Kuruvi" flies better.

i was lookin forward to watchin atm as im a college student and only really watch the big movies...unfortunately it has gotten many bad word of mouth reviews...but im still anxious to see it for myself...and anonymous #2, theres just no need for that, try to act like an adult instead of a pre-teen who just discovered cursing....

srivatsan, hmmm... considering the last 4 movies, ATM and 'pokkiri' got 2 stars, 'aadhi' and 'sivakasi' got 1.5 stars. in ATM, i said vijay's acting in the 2nd role was the main reason i didn't like the movie and in 'pokkiri', i said he tries to copy mahesh babu and isn't natural. and this is a guy i have a soft corner for?! :)

glass, that seems to be the general opinion. i've watched only ATM and 'machakkaaran' so far.

anon, ofcourse it does :)

sundar, have seen 1 trailer a while back and it was really impressive. will chk this out :)

bart, my thots exactly. i was surprised by the way the last vision came true. that was the only aspect that saved the 2nd half for me :)

anon, haven't seen 'vel' yet and with the thanksgiving break coming up, it won't be online until next week :)

Namita looks like an 200% enlarged photocopy rather than a clone or a scan :)
