Kamal Fans, Rejoice!

Fans of Kamalhassan finally have something to smile about! The actor's last film (Mumbai Express) was released over a year ago and was a flop in both Tamil and Hindi. Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu too kept getting delayed and with all the financial and legal troubles, there were doubts if it would ever make it to theaters. But the hurdles seem to have been cleared and there are reports that the film could be released as early as next week.

Kamal's ambitious Dasaavathaaram, where he plays 10 roles, was also launched last week. With Asin (in a double role) and Mallika Sherawat as heroines, K.S.Ravikumar as director and Himesh Reshammiya as the music director, that's going to be a movie to look forward to. Kamal looks really young in the publicity stills and I thought for a moment that I was seeing a still from Pushpak!

I am keeping my fingers crossed, for VV. am not assuming anything until i know that the film has actually opened in theatres across TN. with this film, u never know...of course, i am hoping the film does well (what an understatement!).

reg. 10-avataram-> yes, kamal does look dashing...the silhouettes of the other avatars in the publicity stills are also quite intriguing...let the "crazy"-ness begin!

Is it me or does the silhouette of the "Vaishnavaite saint" resemble the pose that Kamal had in the Hey Ram posters?

Will the 10 avatars be takeoff on Kamal's roles in previous movies??!! The karate pose = Enakkul oruvan; hunchback = chappani..Let the speculations begin!!

Seems to have lost weight, which makes him look younger. Will be a relief, since he has been stocky in all his movies since Aalavandaan.

ram, true. with this film, we can't be sure of anything until the 1st show starts!

ferrari, thats news to me. as u said in ur blog, it looks like he's put aside serious cinema for now...

adi, yep! and with kamal as hero, the scissors need to be real sharp :)

SK, the 'hey ram' pose caught my eye too. not the others though. satyaraj did the same thing in 1 of his movies where he appeared as characters from his previous movies... wonder if kamal's gonna do the same thing.

kk, am hoping too. and since the theater has listed show times, things look good :)

kajan, stocky's the right word. and does look he's lost a bit here...

I saw some scenes from both. There wasn't much difference in his physique, from what I could tell. I can't remember the last film Kamal looked lean in. Unlike Rajni, who has looked the same, Kamal added on some pounds that never really went off.

There are 10 Kamals. I wonder if a double role for Asin is just for added hype. I can't imagine the heroines having much to do...10 Kamals:-)

Kamal's movies off late are boring...see mumbai express.....what a dud it was....though the trailer of VV is exciting....i will wait for the reviews from the papers, media tv, and for the true and honest reviews by my friends....by the way Kamal has lot of fans to the current generation stars....most of the kamal fans have become fans of an actor who has been in the news for wrong reasons and who doesn't have support from the tamil filmdom...in fact he has come on his own without any GODFATHER....
