i've been disappointed with the roles that madhumitha has been getting, post Kudaikkull Mazhai...
i watched that ezhil movie based on ur recommedation and thot she was Fabulous in that one...but apart from that, its been all run of the mill stuff...

Balaji, I dont normally visit your reviews site as I read the reviews here in the blog, but today just went over to your site and cliked on one of the reviews-naaLai. I find that the stars that you give might not quite match the tone of your review. Your review seems to be mostly positive for naaLai(just the bad timing part was the negative comment) yet only 2 stars in the end. Thiruttu payale's review is mostly negative and that gets 2 stars as well.Just an observation.
ram, guess u're talking about 'amudhe'. yeah she had a really meaty role in that and carried it off so well. but she doesn't seem to be going anywhere...
vijay, i've been planning to have a post on the star rating for a while. just havent gotten around to it.
anyway, the gist of it is that i usually decide the star rating when i finish the movie. its just a quick reference for how i felt about it. but when i write about it, i can't write about everything i liked/disliked about it since that would reveal too much about the movie. the biggest reason why 'naalai' was a 2-star movie was the feeling of deja vu. it reminded me too much of 'pattiyal' but i didnt want to write about what exactly reminded me of 'pattiyal' since that would give too much away. for 'thiruttu payale', the movie attempted to be different and that always impresses me :)
of topic, BB, I have been looking for your review of Kalvanin Kadhali, but have not been able to find it in bbreviews. If you did review it, could you provide the link?

Yeah Balaji.. no sign of your Kalvanin Kaadhali review at bbreviews. Wierder, no sign of that review in bbthots either. I was terribly sure that you had posted a review of that film on bbthots as well!.. Am I just dreaming things up? :-)

sandya, not sure how i missed the link on bbreviews. but no, i did not review KK on bbthots. I reviewed 'A Aa' but not KK since i think i saw it pretty late...
Sandya, I thot I saw the review sometime back on bbthots as well. But, thanks anyways, BB! I love the songs in KK, but wanted to know if it was worth seeing Suryah after the debacle that was AAa
