Hey Balaji... In your review of Don Chera, you mentioned Pudhupettai, Mandhiran, Vaastav, but didn't mention the title of the "high-profile 2002" film that the ending was copied from. Is it because that you were discussing the ending that you didn't want to mention the film's title?..
But the way the review had been written until that point and the star rating already given to the film.. it was pretty clear that you wouldn't really recommend it.. so why not give away the title of the 2002 film? :-)
sandya, as i said, the ending is 1 of the few aspects of 'don chera' that is surprising and unexpected, esp. if u havent seen 'vaastav'. that was the reason why i didn't mention it. i guess i have this deep dislike of spoilers that prevents me from revealing secrets or twists even in films i hate :)
btw, was this a general question or r u really curious about the 2002 film? :)
Well, Balaji, I was really curious about the 2002 film. For all practical purposes, it looks like I would have to see Don Chera to find out.. but the question is, am I better of seeing Vaastav instead? :-)..
Garden without the forest?! ena pa clue adhu?? en arivukku yetta maatengudhu :(
am yet to watch parijatham...dun plan to watch Don Chera...why wont Ranjith ever realize that he's better off a character actor?? he was so brilliant in movies like Marumalarchi, Desiya Geetham and Esp. Paandavar Bhoomi.

Swami was dead on and so was the anon's clue.
Garden - Nandavanam
Forest - Vanam
That leaves out .... :)
good one, anon!
and, thanks for the clarification, bart.
i ruled out nandha coz it was released in 2001, not 2002.
