Sivaji - New Stills
[Pics Courtesy Maverick. Click pics to enlarge]
Looks like thalaivar's got the retro hairstyle for atleast a few scenes in the film. Not too thrilled about his costume but he does look really youthful, especially in the first pic :-)
Yenna Anon, got up on the wrong side of the bed-aa?.. Thalaivar-nu koopitta ivaLavu kOvam varudhu?.. Calling someone thalaivar is such a generic thing.. I don't think educated folks like us are running off to plaster big posters all over town for 'thalaivar' or do paalabhishekam or stand in long queues to watch first-day, first-shows... (at least, I don't know anyone who does stuff like this every day of his/her life in the U.S, (except the first-day, first-show thing that many of us do during a 'thalaivar' film release!).. there very well may be folks back home in Tamilnadu doing this stuff every day!)..
The max we do is sit here, viewing, reviewing pics from Sivaji and claiming our 'thalaivar' will never age..
Anyways, that's the best I have seen "thalaivar" since.. well, for the longest time.. Not a surprise considering this is a Shankar film.. Only wished Shankar had paid as much attention to the "younger" Kamal in Indhiyan. Now, there was a guy who really needed help in that particular film in the "looks" and "weight" department.
inaddition to Rajini's fresh looks, i like the color tone in the picture, it evokes an easy cool mood for which is guessed to be a comic scene, K.V.Anand seems to have done his job well. though the Music Instrument shop set is artifical, it looks beautiful. Btw, anyone know who is the art director?
The pictures are _________ (you can fill the blank with any of the umpteen adjectives in the English language, which has even a remote meaning of 'amazing'). I was actually thrilled more on seeing the costumes and I am sure Thalaivar will look great on-screen in these costumes.
Greattttttttttttttttt pictures...THALAIVAR looks ammmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaazing...but I do have to agree with Bhuvan as far as the clothes go...I am not very sure if those capris(??!!!??) suit our thalaivar...Waiting for the big release...
Wow...Me thinks thalaivar looks reeeeeally cool! Only Qn that I have is..... Why is he wearing capris???? Plus it looks dangerously similar to the one that that I bought from Gap recently. Makes me wonder if I mixed up the aisles while shopping!..
Great stills...thalaivar summa nachunu irukaru; i guess it will be good to see Vivek and Rajini trying to get their comedy act together. The makeup person is indeed doing a commendable job in Thlaivar's new trasnformation, but the capris and the green t-shirt kinda make it a weird combo, hope the new look doesn't make thalaivar look gay.
No comment about Rajni, but I had to post to let Bhuvan know that I was amused by why he calls Rajni 'Thalaivar'. LOL I am not particularly a fan of his, but I have nothing against him either. However, calling him thalaivar to just piss people off is pretty cool! LOL 15 years ago, I may have been one of those to have been pissed off by that, but such things don't matter anymore. I guess that's why I am as amused as I am.
Wonder why Bhuvan doesn't blog or does he? It would have been entertaining/good.
BB. sorry for blabbering in your comments section. BTW, don't you have a profile page?
guys, rajni's always had a great eye for costumes. he proved that once again in 'chandramukhi'. i wasn't too happy with the capris here. but considering that vivek is with him, this might turn out to be a comedy scene. and we know thalaivar goes all out in his dresses when he's going for laughs :)

Thalaivar looks awesome with his hair style in Rajathi Raja. My pick of the photo is second one, where he standing nearby car.
What is the chance of release of these photos? Are they releasing this for promo and keep the buzz always?
kezhavan-a kumaran-aa maathra oppanai kalaignarey, unnai thalaivanangugiren ;)
yeah, i like his hair style with a parting on the left, much better than his ara-vazhukkai look of the early 90s (e.g. thalapathi).
His makeup artist should be given an Oscar for transforming this ugly looking guy to a somewhat presentable state...
Get over calling him or anyone Thalaivar. That's what uneducated people call politicans...

Vivek looks truly hilarious.
