Sivaji Pooja

[Pic Courtesy Sify]

A very low-profile poojai for a very high-profile film! The poojai for Sivaji was held yesterday in front of the new Pillaiyar Koil at AVM Studio. Looks like only people connected with the film, like thalaivar, producers Saravanan and Guhan, director Shankar, heroine Shriya, script writer Sujatha, lyricist Vairamuthu, cinematographer K.V.Anand and art director Thotta Tharani, were present. ARR wasn't there.

Shankar is ready with the first draft of the story and the shooting is expected to start any day after December 12, thalaivar's birthday.

Thalaivar looks so charming in the pictures. BTW, did they release any pitures that were shot during the photo shoot that was held in Mumbai? And you rightly said about such a low profile pooja for probably the biggest movie in Tamil cinema.

I just hope that Shankar doesn't come up with a rehashed 'Mudhalvan' for Super star.

Balaji,
I wanted to know how you manage to link to selected posts under different categories. using some place like blogrolling to store and update all the links?
Or, am I missing something that is awfully obvious?

Keep this in mind.. coming February 2006 is when I think the hype surrounding Sivaji will start building.. It will build to Everest levels up until the time the film actual makes it to the theaters.. which I don't it will anytime before Deepavali next year (they can say all they want about a Tamil New Year release!.. but no Shankar film has ever released on a festival date and definitely not within 6 months from the start of shooting!)..

Better to keep the initial festivities simple.. I won't be surprised if the music release is also low-key.. (similar to Anniyan!).. Shankar toned down the hype significantly by making the Anniyan audio release low-key. It turned out to be a smart move for that film atleast!..

In typical thalaivar style...

Adhigama aarpaattam potta poojayum, adhigama 'build-up' kodutha padamum 'hit' aanadha saritharam illa..
Indha "Sivaji" 'silent'a poojai pottalum, sathama theatre-la aattam poduvaan!
Andha babaji sollaran, indha sivaji mudikkaran....

Balaji,
I was talking about the collection of all movie reviews on the rightside sidebar (why two 'side'?). How do you manage and update them?

The movie not yet kick started and punch dialogues for sivaji have already been making rounds in the mailosphere and blogosphere.

I wish this movie does'nt spark out some overt hype, though eventually it would. When is it releasing? Next Diwali?

So, you manually update ur template everytime. Thts lot of work.
I was just seeing if there is any dynamic way of adding ur links (provided by some free service) just like we link to diff blogs by blogrolling.
