  5. Very well deserved! Amazing to see Slumdog sweeping all 4 award in which it was nominated.

Funny to see how ARR felt a little awkward when Kate Beckinsale kissed him :)

  8. This has to be one of those path-breaking moments of Indian cinema!! Everything about it was memorable - the way ARR slowly made his way upto the podium, the awkward moment when he was kissed & hugged, the small piece of paper from where he read out his acknowledgments and finally the 1 billion people comment. Truly unforgettable!!!

I was so happy to see him win, and I hope he wins an Oscar too. But I just hope that doesn't mean Tamil directors can't afford him anymore. As it is he only did one Tamil movie this year no?

Congratulations A.R. Rehman! You have made very Tamilan & Indian proud with your achievement! You are the real superstar of Indian cinema. You are an icon with international acclaim!

The lyrics "Ella pugazhum un oruvan oruvanukke...
Nee nadhi pole oodi kondu irru..." is truly apt only for you! It's a proud moment for all of us!

  15. The two things that connect Indians of any origin are cricket and ARR.

So, he deserves the golden globe and Oscars.

  16. Am happy for Rahman, but IMO Slumdog Millionaire is'nt his best work. The 'British movie' brand certainly worked in his favour.
