Nice reviews BB.

TR and Perarasu must be banned from making movies for sake of Tamil Cinema.

People like Kamal, Mani, Cheran, Selvaragavan try to elevate Tamil cinema to a new/higher level, but these idiots just push the standards down to a rock bottom.

Sorry had to vent it out.

excellent review of veerasamy movie. sometime i like to watch these kinds of movies just to see how silly it is. TR's self confidence is unmatched, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu2Y2GPwZGA
. Artist is born not made. Very true.

Balaji.. kudos to your patience and passion for tamil cinema. You have had the distinct honor(?) of reviewing a T.Rajendar (pardon me, Vijaya T. Rajendar) movie and have managed to write 7 full paragraphs about it patiently (let alone sit through 2.5 hours to see it!). For that, you deserve tremendous praise.

Balaji.. would you say that watching a Simbu film is less painful in comparison? I assume you'd be able to see a lot more redeeming factors in Vallavan as a result? :-) ;-)

Actually these kinda movies are quite fun if you watch with a group of friends. We used to bring down the theatre, on screen it would be some tragic scene and the whole theatre would be rolling in laughter.

My most memorable scene for a unintentional comic scene would go to a 65 something MGR telling 'Friends lets goto class' and Nambiar is his class mate. Man that was one cool movie.

I loved Praveen's review for Veerasamy it was awesome.

If I were to make a Tamil movie, I can be confident that there will be at least "one person" in the world who will see and review it!

Balaji,
Expected a 0* from you.(As the review will be hilarious!).Ramanan has written an 8-page review!(See this-http://dandanaka.blogspot.com/2007/02/movie-review-veerasamy-part-8_15.html).Wonder how he was so patient!
By the way,Vikatan said that it does not deserve a rating!(Rare distinction!)Because;one must give marks for a test;but not a poison test!

Veerasamy by Vijay TR is one of the worst movies of the year/decade/century.. That bearded bear should be stopped from doing anything with cinema..
Simbhu/Dhanush must be embarassed about their Dads.
BBals , I pity u :)

Any thots?

For the full-fledged humor and entertainment Veerasamy must have provided, not even a single star? :-)

TR is the greatest comedian bar none. TRku appram dhaan Vivek, Vadivelu ellarume

RS, "had to vent it out" - that was pretty much why i wrote the review too :)

dr, that part about his self-confidence is definitely true :)

mav, padithen sirithen :)

anon, didn't realize the extent of the torture b4 i started seeing it :)

sandya, oh yes, a whole lotta movies become less painful when seeing movies like 'veerasamy' :)

KP, yep that might be the only situation when the film might be called 'entertaining' :)

srijith/raapi, haven't seen it yet. being screened here next weekend :)

ram, i think 'varaan paaru...' was the actual background score when TR showed up on screen. don't tell me u saw the movie??!!

skanda, i felt it was a charming sweet movie... didnt feel it was brilliant or a classic... rating simply reflected that feeling :)

prin, havent seen it yet :)

ganesh, fully understand the vikatan comment :)

anon, no arguments there :)

me too, yeah i know what u mean!

shwetha, not my intention at all... just don't blame me after :)

vijay, thinking about it, i probably did laught more for 'veerasamy' than for many other so-called comedies :)

Arattai Arangam he is supposed to moderate, does he allow anyone else to talk?? It must be a huge effort from him if he is allowing someone else to talk.

Didn't Torturous Rajendar (lol skanda!) enter politics recently? Maybe this film was meant to launch him...

I laughed when I first saw this film was announced long back. TR makes Vijaykanth look like Madhavan!

Balaji, you just might have to listen to Oru Thalai Raagam a few times to wash the memory of Veerasamy from your brain :-)

At 10:56 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

prin.......so what if they've signed on for another movie.....what are u trying to imply?

At 3:19 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Anon, its a comment.

Also, Bhavana had earlier rejected an opportunity with Jeeva, so they would not be romantically linked after signing 2 projects together. When she paired with Bharath twice in (Veyyil and Koodal Nagar) respectively, they were branded as a pair in some gossip columns. So it is a surprise she has signed up for another film alongside Maddy, after their forthcoming project 'Arya'!

Also she has recently objected to star in Silambarasan's 'Kettavan' citing Simbhu has a bad name. :)
