Balaji, just a pointer, yuur link to Chandramukhi from the Sivaji review page does not work, from the archive directory it does work.
Looks like the Sivaji review rating (***) is tilted from a Rajini fan perspective. Inspite of my angst at Shankar (not for his projection of Rajini), I did end up watching he movie more than once.

anon, i've always been surprised at how much importance some readers attach to the star ratings. i've said b4 that some readers spend more time analyzing it than i spend assigning it! this is another addition to that list :)
i know u r being sarcastic but i still gotta say this... stars reflect how much i liked a film and i liked 'baba' less than 'sivaji'. so your statement that i should've given 4 * to 'baba' doesn't make a lotta sense :)

You gave RENDU, POKIRI, VARALAARU 2 * ! You gave mozhi, pv, chennai 28 > 2 * Now, for sivaji you have given 3* ! That says that ! :)
So, You have enjoyed BABA in the same level as Rendu & Pokiri, Varalaaru & other films
But u have enjoyed Sivaji in the same level as chennai 28 , mozhi and paruthiveeran !

anon, yes i did like 'sivaji' as much i liked those other movies and thats what the stars mean. the reasons i liked them r very different ofcourse and are elaborated in the review. i liked PV for its earthiness and emotions, 'mozhi' for its simplicity and light humor, 'c28' for its style and light-heartedness and 'sivaji' for rajni and how he'd been presented.

I have been reading your reviews for quite some time now. You have been doing a great job and I like your reviews before renting movies. I recently checked your reviews on Sivaji & Karupusamy Kuthagaitharar! I was surprised to a 3* rating for Sivaji while you gave a lesser rating for a refreshingly welcome movie like KK which I happened to see last week-end :). To me this is unfair. Your rating suggests Sivaji in the same league as Patuthiveeran & Mozhi which could mislead the readers! If Sivaji deserves a 3* then definitely in the past movies like VV, Anniyan & Gilli deserve much more even if not equal. Anyways that is just my opinion.
For an otherwise occasional inconsistencies like these, please keep up the great work you have been doing all these years! Thanks! :)

anon, just as an example, i'd like to point out filbert(filbytheboss.blogspot.com), who also reads my reviews. he hated KK while as a huge rajni fan, he thinks 'sivaji' is the best rajni movie ever and saw it 5 times. so if i'd rated 'sivaji' lower and KK higher it would've been fair to u but he would've felt it was really unfair. i brought that up just to say that its impossible to make everyone happy. my ratings reflect MY opinion about a movie. and why i rated it so is explained clearly in the review. so i don't think there's any question of misleading readers :)

If the ratings are according to your likings, then what Sivaji lacks that it didn't deserve your 4 star especially since you've watched it 2wice paying high prices.
