Pics - Thanks Sandya

As George Costanza would say, "If this is what happens to Arvind Swamy when becoming older, what chance do I have?!"

Balaji-

Chay....you beat me to this post...i was just drafting the same picture and post to blog.......

I guess ARS is a troubled man with his wife Gayathri filing for a divorce and he having custody of two kids. Gayathri was a mysterious lecturer at Stella Maris where i studied for 3 months.

Usually women are the ones who are accussed of paying less attention to themselves after marriage, kids, house, in-laws and 'n' number of tensions in their life.. here is a perfect example of everything happening to the man in this case.. I guess, his looks didn't matter to him after marriage much..

By the way, you can't beat 'genes.' After all, Arvind Swamy is TV actor Delhi Kumar's (Metti Oli, Malargal) son. Delhi Kumar had let him be adopted by this couple (they are both no more (I think this was Delhi Kumar's sister's family or something like that!) and I don't remember their names! Very famous family in Chennai!).. As my mom often says.. chatti-la irundhaa dhaane aapai-la varum! :-).. for lack of a better phrase!..

Anyways, it looks like the "A" word (6 letter word!) cropped up in this divorce case.. It sure sounds like Mr. Swamy was seriously into some hanky-panky.. which no wife especially one from a love marriage, is going to bear, considering this may or may not the very first A of Arvind Swamy's life either.. Not sure where I read this news.. or even if there is any truth to it.. but considering the cine field has its share of filth.. nothing should suprise us, I suppose!

Goes to show why we are all better off being normal human beings and better off looking into the movie industry as an outsider..

Sandya is right. Arvind Swamy's original dad is Delhi Kumar. He was adopted by VD Swamy (founder of Cauvery Engineering and some more companies). Arvind Swamy inherited lot of wealth. He is currently running a BPO firm called TalentPro or some such thing.

Kaps, a little bit of googling got me this interesting news..

"MD Of BPO ProLease Quits
Mr Arvind Swami, a popular film star who spearheaded the operations of ProLease India, a leading BPO company, as its managing director since its inception in 2001, has moved out owing to differences with the board of directors. Also the president of InterPro, the US offshoring services of the group, Mr Swami put in his papers on August 29, 2005, resigning from both the positions.

Probably this shows on his current state (appearance and otherwise!)... Hmm...

I try my best to stay out of the tabloid headlines but with the internet and loads of time to spare, I am easily tempted to research. It's always a bummer when your favourite actors/actress are caught up in dirt and scandal because you just can't enjoy their best works without their real life situation stuck somewhere in the back of your head. Bombay and Roja are going to feel a bit weird after reading all of this. Same way I felt watching War of the Worlds after Cruise went on that wild promotional tour last summer.

He was so handsome some years back. When I saw Roja I was 12 years, and I fell in love with ARS. Today also, I want to remember him as he was that time and not as he is today. I heartily wish that he becomes again the same person. Well, I think thats quite impossible. I wish him all luck in his business and life. May God give his wife some brains and she go back to him.

So what if Sridevi asked to marry Arvind. He was really really very handsome. Even today when he has changed, he looks more handsome than Boney Kapoor, Sridevi's hubby. And everybody changes with time. As he is a very busy man today, taking care of his Talent Maximus, he should not worry about other things. And he should just take care of his kids and company. He now does not have to come back to movies, so what looks matter. He still is a perfect in his field... Full marks to him.

Well ,I must say this was very interesting read.considering very little has been written about A.S.Any news about the same would surely be a treat.

Leave the man in peace. He has always come across as a decent guy in his interviews. Why should his personal life elicit so much interest. He may be a public figure, but his life and marriage are personal things. Let no one intrude there.

I have heard of his wife from a colleague of min, who is no more. The colleague's daughter was studying in the college where ARS's wife was a lecturer. Since my friend's daughter was very short, Gayatri used to make fun of her and thus hurt her in public. Gayathri is very arrogant and hence its not surprising that her marriage ended in divorce. But certainly ARS does not deserve this
