Saris All Around!

[Pic Courtesy Rediff]

First Elizabeth Hurley and now Oprah... The omnipresent Aishwarya Rai appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show and got the famous host to wear the sari she brought along! Oprah's Book-of-the-Month club is hugely popular and any book selected on that gets a huge boost in sales. Wonder if her sari-clad appearance is going to make the dress any more popular...

Oprah said the sari was very sensual. No arguments there :)

Man, she looks good...Aishwarya, I mean. I saw this Indian girl walking along a road in Boston the other day dressed in a similar suit as Ash and she looked hot. I distinctly remember being surprised since I have never seen an Indian girl look that good in a suit (plus I have never had Indians as coworkers to make observations like that). If I hadn't been driving, I would have tried to talk to her. Mmmm...

  2. I watched it yesterday. She presented herself much better than in Letterman's. And she was smooth enough to be a diplomat. I still wish she had added a bit of Indianness in her outfit, although a far better choice than that trashy leather look in Letterman (Ok, brickbats)
Oh and Oprah looks good in a Sari. May be she should wear it now and then :-)
Not many non-Indians can carry it.

  4. I didnt see aish on letterman but did catch her on 60 minutes and thot she was awful. Her non-stop giggling got on my nerves. She kinda had the same non-committal answers but came off as dumb rather than diplomatic :)

yeah, sari does suit oprah quite well...
