4 New Reviews

Reviews for Poi, Thaamirabharani, Pori and Deepavali are now online @ bbreviews.

That makes 9 movies seen so far in 2007, with none earning more than 2 stars. Hope Pachaikkili Muthucharam breaks the jinx today!

BB, Though I accept with your views. However can't accept Bhagyaraj Balachandar commparison.

Balachandar dominated for nearly 30 years where as Bhagyaraj's innings lasted for only 10-12 years.

Balaji, got to disagree with on Yuvan's rendition of Pogaadhe pogaadhe :) Yuvan's voice is suited exactly for that kind of a song. On a standalone basis, this song is soothing to the ears. I haven't seen the movie, so don't know how the picturization of that song impacted your statement. But his singing in this song is nowhere as bad as Kanave kalaigiradhe or Edhedho ennangal

Balaji;
Did not answer my doubt. Thamirabharani is somewhat similar to Mahesh Babu's Rajakumarudu(Kadhal Vennila in Tamil).
Idhayathai thirudhadhai is dubbed version of Githanjali(Telugu).So you should've selected some other movie for best 'Tamil love story' category.(Forgot Sethu?)
Also,Kaadhal deserves 2 or 2.5* only.(Not 3.5*).(I would prefer Muthal Mariyathai.Afterall;Sivaji Ganesan the true great Tamil actor was the hero.).

Pachaikili is good in parts, the climax drags on and disappoints. Sarathkumar is a revelation (never thot he could act). Jo overacts while Andrea is my latest heartthrob!

I am also surprised with the stars that Deepavali got. Haven't seen the movie but generally the movie seems to have positive reports.. Vikatan has given 42, which even if discounted should mean 2 stars in ur rating :)
Will be checking out the movie anyways..

balaji just watched PM. exactly derailed with a few indian twists. sarath's career best. but a bit draggy at parts but a fresh change from the recent crop. goutham should stop his cameos. he even goes to the extend of dubbing for miland soman. cant wait for your review.

B.Balsu,PM is good but I really hated Jo's dialogs.. She sounded more like a prostitute ... Sarath looks aged and tired (52 years) .. Andrea is the latest figure in kollywood .. She sure can act and show some curves ..
