Executive Decision

A conversation between my wife and me when we were on our way to lunch on Saturday...

Me: Where can we go to lunch?
She: You can pick the place today.
Me: *surprised* Oh, OK. Lets have Mexican.
She: Nah, I don't feel like stuffing myself with cheese today.
Me: Then lets go to IHOP. Its been awhile since we ate there.
She: I can never find anything good to eat over there.
Me: OK, what do you feel like having?
She: I want to have Indian food.
Me: OK. We can go to Saravana Bhavan.
She: We always go there. We should eat somewhere else today.
Me: Do you have a place in mind?
She: We should go to Udipi Palace. Its been awhile and they have a good lunch buffet.
Me: OK!

I'm so glad I still get to make the decisions in my house :)

---------------------------

The above conversation also reminded me of a joke I read a long time ago.

Man 1: Are you the boss in your house?
Man2: Yep. My wife's told me to say so!

that's funny!

the following is something that i envision happening to me when i get to spend at home, a sunday morning, with the one who will be my escalator-dont cross-wife...

(IV stands for ilichavaayan and VV stands for villaathi villi)...on a sunday morning:

VV: I feel like watching a Kamal Haasan movie?
IV (Surprised coz she's not a huge fan of Kamal, she'd rather watch Suriya in Nerukku Ner or Maddy in Priyasakhi): oh, really?! wow...how about Nayagan?
VV: Oh, come on daa (mariyaadha), you know the lines by heart now! even the camera angles...
IV: adhu seri. hmm, how about MMKR? You lovve the Kameshwaran character, ille?
VV: hmm, yeah, he was quite good in that (understatement of the century). but adhuvum romba pazhasu.
IV: okay, something different. how about the silly PKS?
VV: aiyyo, he was looking FAT in that?
IV: Panchatantram?
VV: aiyyaiyo, he was looking too emaciated in that.
IV: Anbe Sivam?
VV (eyes lighting up with excitement): Oh yeah! Was hoping you'd say that. Maddy looked so cute in that! you're crazy about that movie too, right? good good...
IV (after the first scene in the airport where VV says, "cho chee chweet maddy!"): naan oru 1/2 day office poayttu varren dee...
IV: Yaen daa? on a sunday? skipping Kamal's anbe sivam??
VV: ille, he is looking too grotesque in that.

Kalyanam aagi ivlo naal kku appram dhaan idhu therinjudhaa?

Munna elaam 'Veetla Madurai aa Chidambaram aa nnu kaepaanga?'.

Ippa elaam (including this case of yours) its like 'Chidambarathil oru Apaavisaamy' which means that it would look like Chidambaram for others but actually it is the other way!
